Adobe kauft Macromedia
Wie von beiden Konzernleitungen bestätigt, wird die Firma Adobe den Konkurrenten Macromedia für 3,4 Milliarden Dollar (per Aktientausch) übernehmen.
Aus dem Statement von Adobe:

Through the combination of our powerful development, authoring and collaboration tools – and the complementary functionality of PDF and Flash – we have the opportunity to drive an industry-defining technology platform that delivers compelling, rich content and applications across a wide range of devices and operating systems.
The combination of Adobe and Macromedia will provide customers a more powerful set of solutions for creating, managing and delivering compelling content and experiences across multiple operating systems, devices and media. Together, the two companies will meet a wider set of customer needs and have a significantly greater opportunity to grow into new markets, particularly in the mobile and enterprise segments.
Hm. Im Endeffekt ist es doch so, daß Adobe nun zwei Bildbearbeitungs-Programme, zwei HTML–Editoren, zwei Vektorgrafik-Programme usw. sein Eigen nennt. Und sich dadurch stark in Richtung Monopolstellung bewegt. Bleibt zunächst abzuwarten, ob dies das Ende von Fireworks, Dreamweaver und Freehand bedeutet und vor allem, ob Adobe seine neue Stellung (im negativen Sinne) ausnutzt.

Hm. Aber kurz– und mittelfristig sieht es erst mal so aus, oder? Im Bereich Bildbearbeitung besitzt Adobe ja praktisch eine Monopolstellung, zumindest im Business-Sektor. Bei GoLive und Dreamweaver wird es möglicherweise Synergien geben, aber die Frage ist sowieso, wie lange sich diese Art von Website-Editing-Suite noch halten wird. Der Trend geht doch eindeutig in Richtung aufgesetzter Blog– oder CMS–Software.
Jedenfalls bestimmt Adobe nun natürlich mit zentralen Webformaten wie PDF, Flash, Shockwave usw. schon ziemlich stark wie das Netz in der Zukunft aussehen wird.
Aber vielleicht bin ich da auch etwas skeptisch, es ist nur so, daß Monopolisten vom Grunde her erst mal einen negavtiven Touch haben. ;)

Tag! Ich fand Ihre Website bei der Website des WordPress :) Ich wusste nicht dass Adobe kauft Macromedia bevor Ich las Ihren Artikel. Ich spreche Deutsch nicht besonders gut weil Ich in mein zweites Semester von Deutsch bin! Ich hoffe diesen Kommentar verständlich ist. Haha. Tschüss!

Also ich würde auch sagen das es in Richtung Monopol geht. Mal sehen wie sich das weiterentwickelt.
